Renewcell is a Swedish textile recycling company that has developed a patented process for turning cotton and other cellulose-rich textiles into high-quality dissolving pulp, known as Circulose®. The company's technology offers a solution to the problem of textile waste, as less than 1% of clothing is currently recycled into new textile fibres. Renewcell's Circulose® is used in the production of high-quality textile products with minimal negative impact on climate and the environment. The company has collaborated with several major fashion brands to incorporate Circulose® into their products and has received significant recognition for its innovation, including winning the Nordic Council Environment Prize from The Nordic Council of Ministers and The Nordic Council in 2023. Renewcell's commitment to circularity and sustainability has also been recognized by the Stockholm District Court, which approved the company's bankruptcy application in November 2023.
