The Dandelion Philosophy operates with a vision of alleviating poverty through a holistic model of food security. It runs zero-waste kitchens in poor communities, offering hot, healthy vegetarian meals to some of the most disadvantaged populations. The food programs allow for more comprehensive support services to be given, such as free vocational skills training and psychosocial support, coaching, and mentoring, in addition to regenerative farming and business advisement. The Dandelion Philosophy tries to attack the roots of poverty by providing people with skill and knowledge bases for self-reliance and hence truly sustainable employment opportunities. Their model shifts focus from temporary relief, which is the path that traditional charities tend to take, to long-lasting and socially conscious empowerment. At the heart of the Dandelion Philosophy lies an innovation-driven, evidence-based approach with sharp business strategy at the core, all working together to reduce charity dependence and foster real, genuinely transformative change. They are a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit and member of Social Enterprise UK.
