Good Cycles is a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to breaking down employment barriers for young people aged 18-28. Through our Youth Employment Program (YEP), we offer real jobs that provide both income and skills development, using a ‘learn by doing’ approach. We aim for 30% of our staff to be within YEP, ensuring participants receive adult wages and regular shifts. Our work focuses on sustainable transportation, using cargo and electric bikes to deliver services more efficiently than traditional methods. This approach not only creates green jobs but also contributes to cleaner, safer, and healthier communities. By combining long-term employment with tailored coaching and support, Good Cycles helps young people build confidence, stability, and networks, empowering them to overcome barriers and reach their full potential. Since 2013, we’ve been inspired by the bicycle to drive social and environmental innovation for positive community change.
