As soon as adding the freetree extension to browser, freetree automatically shows through which shop trees can plant. If clicking on “I want to plant trees for free”, it get activate freetree and trees will be planted through the purchase. Freetree will also tells immediately after the click, whether the activation has been successful. As soon as visiting an online shop that is supported by freetree, the freetree window appears automatically in the cart. It reminds about planting trees while shopping with just one click. Ecosia's tree planting projects are designed to be as long-term and sustainable as possible. In perspective, the added value of the trees should be higher than the added value of deforestation.
