Ava Community Energy, formerly East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), is a not-for-profit Community Choice Aggregator (CCA) that supplies renewable electricity to communities in Alameda County and beyond. Established in 2016, Ava offers two main plans: Bright Choice, which provides affordable electricity at lower rates than PG&E, and Renewable 100, delivering 100% wind and solar power. Ava procures clean energy while PG&E maintains infrastructure and delivery. By reinvesting revenue into local projects, Ava supports electrification, green job creation, and environmental programs. In 2023, the company rebranded to reflect its expansion beyond the East Bay, now serving cities like Stockton, Tracy, and Lathrop. Ava’s mission is to provide clean, affordable energy while fostering a sustainable future for California communities. Through innovative programs and community-driven initiatives, it empowers residents and businesses to embrace renewable energy solutions for a greener tomorrow.
